Winnebago County, Wisconsin

Winnebago County, is one of the more populated counties in Wisconsin, and especially eastern Wisconsin.

It comes from a Native American Name meaning "people dwelling by the fetid or ill-smelling water".

The seat and largest city is Oshkosh.

It borders Waupaca, Outagamie, Calumet, Fond Du Lac, Green Lake and Waushara Counties.

Main highways include I-41, US-45, US-10, WI-21, WI-26, WI-44, WI-47 and WI-441.
